Zvonimir Čičak, Head of our Development Department, is a prime example of how a career can thrive in such an environment. His expertise, deep understanding of design, and continuous curiosity make him an invaluable part of our team.
Zvonimir joined Prostoria over ten years ago and has been leading the development department for the past five. From the very beginning, he demonstrated what we value most — technical precision, curiosity, and a collaborative spirit. A trained electrical engineer from the Osijek region, he previously worked on the development of educational robots. When that phase of his career came to an end, he sought a new challenge. At one point, he considered leaving Croatia — but instead, he accepted the opportunity to work at Prostoria and moved with his family to Hrvatsko Zagorje, starting a completely new professional and personal chapter.

Today, he is responsible for the technical development of all new products as well as the refinement of existing ones. His collaboration with designers starts with the initial concept and continues until the piece is ready for serial production. His team ensures that each product is technically, functionally, and aesthetically feasible.
He is especially proud of the development of the Kontrapunkt armchair — one of the most technically complex pieces in Prostoria’s collection — as well as current projects that continue to push the boundaries between design and engineering.
