Founded in 2013, SMPDO is a Zagreb-based industrial design agency working on various projects ranging from industrial and spatial design to site-specific installations, art direction and design consultancy.
An extraordinary example of industrial design in a residential space – a team of Belgium architects from Boost Architectuur showed us how to use big/large concrete surfaces in a residential space, and combine them with warm materials, interesting details and good lighting, to achive impressive and yet cosy atmosphere.
An interesting architectural configuration with it's fractured surfaces fits perfectly into the ambience of the bay, giving the impression of being a part of the natural configuration. In the interior, the wooden details, discrete lighting and comfortable furniture in warm colours, make a great contrast to the simple white surface of the exterior.
House H is situated on a 600 m² plot, offering a breathtaking view of the western Adriatic Sea. The architecture aims to blur the boundaries between interior and exterior, making the stunning seascape an integral part of the living experience.
